Tesla recalls its Cybertruck

Tesla decided to recall some 46 000 Cybertrucks due to body parts that could detach while driving. In fact, several Cybertruck owners have reportedly complained about a stainless-steel trim piece located above the side windows, a roof reinforcement, that would come off the vehicle while in motion. At least, that is what the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced.
This part allegedly did not receive enough industrial adhesive during vehicle assembly. The recall affects 2024 and 2025 model year Cybertrucks built between November 2023 and February 2025. It is estimated that about 1% of the affected vehicles may exhibit this defect.
Owners will be notified on May 19.
