Dutch paint manufacturer AkzoNobel just launched a new water-based basecoat designed to be applied in a single step. Intended for workshops seeking the perfect balance between productivity and sustainability, it delivers the high quality and the performance for which AkzoNobel’s premium paints, particularly those of its two major brands, Sikkens and Lesonal, are known.

According to AkzoNobel, this new basecoat reduces processing time by 50% compared to conventional application methods. Thanks to its high pigmentation, it ensures optimal coverage in just 1.5 coats instead of the usual two, leading to approximately 15% paint savings.
