As a significant episode of snow and freezing rain approaches several regions of Québec, the ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable is calling on road users to exercise caution and limit non-essential travel over the coming hours. The forecast weather conditions could make roads difficult and dangerous, while winter maintenance crews will be mobilized across the network to ensure travel safety.
The Ministry also reminds road users of the importance of properly preparing their vehicles, checking road conditions before leaving, and adapting their driving to changing winter conditions. Motorists are encouraged to consult the Québec 511 platforms to stay informed about the evolving situation on the road network.
