ALFA ROMEO Celebrates Its 115th Anniversary of Italian Passion and Sportiness

On June 24, Alfa Romeo will celebrate its 115th anniversary, a milestone the brand began marking back in April with the unveiling of a commemorative logo. Available to clubs and enthusiasts worldwide, this emblem pays tribute to a history defined by emotion, performance, and Italian elegance.
The chosen date is no accident: It echoes two foundational moments in the Alfa Romeo legend. First, Tazio Nuvolari’s victory on April 12, 1930, at the Mille Miglia, when the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 achieved an unprecedented 100 km/h average speed. Second, the debut of the four-leaf clover, the Quadrifoglio, at the Targa Florio on April 15,1923, a symbol that has since become synonymous with Alfa’s highest-performing models.
The 115th-anniversary logo captures the brand’s spirit with contemporary design. The central “5” intersected by the Biscione, Alfa’s historic emblem, signifies momentum, passion, and innovation. The contrast between deep black and Alfa red underscores the brand’s strong identity, balancing tradition with modernity.
This celebration takes place in a year marked by other major Alfa Romeo anniversaries:
- In 1925, the GP Tipo P2 secured the inaugural constructors’ championship, elevating the brand to the pinnacle of motorsport.
- In 1950, the Alfetta Tipo 158 earned the very first Formula 1 world championship title with Nino Farina.
On the production side, 2025 also marks 75 years of the 1900, Alfa’s first mass-produced model, and 70 years of the Giulietta Berlina, an icon of everyday Italian elegance. Other legendary models punctuate this legacy: the Giulia Sprint GTA (1965), circuit queen; the 33 TT 12 (1975), endurance champion; and the Alfa 75 (1985), the last model built on the Alfetta platform.
For 115 years, Alfa Romeo has not only participated in automotive history, it has shaped it with boldness and passion. By celebrating its past, the brand reaffirms its ambition to carry this legend forward into the future, true to its core values and its slogan “La meccanica delle emozioni” - performance, style, and emotion.
