Kia is another automaker that took advantage of the New York Auto Show — the last major show of the year before fall — to unveil genuine new products.
In this case, the spotlight first falls on the highly anticipated EV3, the brand’s smallest electric model.
Already available globally since 2024, the EV3 won’t reach North America until 2027. This all-electric subcompact will be built on a 400-volt architecture and can be equipped with an 81 kWh battery, offering a range of 515 kilometers in front-wheel-drive configuration.

The base Wind version will feature a 58 kWh battery, with an estimated range of 365 kilometers. Higher-end versions will be available with all-wheel drive, sometimes even as standard.
More details will be revealed closer to the vehicle’s market launch.
In addition, Kia also used the New York event to unveil the second generation of the Seltos, which will be larger than its predecessor and will also be offered in a hybrid version.
