Jeep Wants to Expand Its Model Lineup in Europe

After being forced to reduce its vehicle lineup in the European market due to stricter emissions regulations, Stellantis now wants to increase Jeep's offering from two SUVs to six models by 2030.
These restrictions affected popular Jeep models such as the Grand Cherokee, the Gladiator and, especially, the iconic Wrangler.
Jeep therefore plans to introduce the 2027 Recon midsize electric SUV in Europe, a model that will soon be marketed in North America. For 2028, Jeep also intends to import another midsize SUV to Europe, this time a plug-in hybrid with a gasoline engine, based on technology from Chinese automaker Dongfeng.
Eventually, Jeep, which also has other projects in the works, plans to offer European customers two additional small SUVs as well as certain other four-wheel-drive models. However, there are no plans to launch the all-electric North American Wagoneer S in Europe, nor the upcoming Scrambler, a small North American pickup that may not meet the new emissions requirements.
