GM's impressive Super Cruise hands-free driving technology with trailering is now available on 19 of the brand's vehicles.
This technology helps reduce some of the stress that can come with driving a properly equipped GM vehicle while towing a trailer.
Once the trailer is hitched, the system detects it and responds according to its weight and other dimensions. When the driver activates Super Cruise with the trailer attached, the vehicle can take over certain driving functions while the system accounts for the trailer's weight and specifications.
The system also saves this data for future use with the same trailer.
This hands-free driving technology is now available on most of GM's large pickups and SUVs, including the Hummer EV, as well as several Buick and Cadillac models, but not on the Bolt or the Cadillac CT5.
However, GM reminds drivers that they must remain in control of the vehicle at all times and are responsible for its operation.
