U.S.-based company Jasper Engine & Transmission has announced that its remanufactured Chrysler Pentastar 3.6L Gen II V6 engine is now available. It comes with a transferable nationwide parts and labour warranty of up to three years or 160,000 kilometres.
According to the company, several components have been modified to improve the engine's durability and reliability, including anodized crown pistons, additional oil return holes, and other work designed to improve head gasket sealing. Inserts have also been added to the cylinder block to better withstand the clamping forces of the cylinder head bolts.
The 3.6-litre Chrysler Pentastar Gen II V6 is intended for the following vehicles:
- Dodge Durango 2016–2018
- Jeep Grand Cherokee 2016–2018
- Chrysler Pacifica 2019–2025
- Chrysler Voyager 2020–2025
- Ram ProMaster 2022–2025
