The New « Porsche Experience Center », Now Open in Toronto

Very recently, the City of Toronto became the tenth location in the world to host a Porsche Experience Center. Located in Pickering, Ontario, this centre is the third in North America.

“The opening of the Porsche Experience Center Toronto marks a milestone for the brand here,” says Trevor Arthur, President and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada Ltd. “We are delighted to share this experience with our fans by offering them the opportunity to explore this exceptional facility, which will be the first of its kind in Canada for an automaker and will create approximately 65 local jobs.”

The Thrill of Driving a Porsche

The Porsche Experience Center Toronto will give enthusiasts the chance to learn more about vehicle dynamics, technology, and the excitement of driving a Porsche, all under the guidance of qualified staff throughout the year.

The two-kilometre driver development track incorporates elements inspired by legendary circuit corners such as the “Corkscrew” at Laguna Seca, the “Carousel” at Nürburgring, and the “Porsche Curves” at Le Mans. The handling track, dynamic zone, low-grip track, and low-friction drift circle form four instructor-led driving modules designed to showcase Porsche engineering and capabilities.

Inspired by Canada and Built with Its Resources

Canadian elements are visible in and around the building, including Quebec wood slats on the exterior walls and a locally commissioned art sculpture at the entrance.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the main building is equipped with a geothermal heating and cooling system. Photovoltaic panels on the roof will also provide renewable energy representing about 20% of the building’s total electric consumption.

The Porsche Experience Center Toronto is the first of its kind to adopt an urban concept focused on offering flexible spaces. On the main level, visitors can enjoy artisanal coffee and culinary creations at the Carrera Café, or browse the Porsche Lifestyle store, which will offer a selection of apparel, accessories, scale models, and other merchandise. Guests will also find a lab equipped with five state-of-the-art simulators. At the wheel of a virtual Porsche, they can compete on circuits from around the world. The lower level provides access to the driving modules (or the track), while the upper floor houses meeting rooms to host groups.

PEC Toronto will be a one-of-a-kind centre designed to delight customers, business partners, and brand enthusiasts by celebrating every aspect of the Porsche universe.

Unforgettable Experiences with the Sports-Car Brand

Porsche Experience Centers represent a unique concept in the automotive industry, offering Porsche fans and customers thrilling brand and product experiences. There are currently ten PECs: in Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hockenheimring (Germany), Franciacorta, Tokyo, and now Toronto. In 2024, the opening of the next PEC in Singapore was announced, with a scheduled inauguration in 2027.
