Leading French winter tire manufacturer Michelin held a major media presentation last week at the private Mécaglisse circuit in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Quebec.

The event brought together several specialized journalists from Quebec, Ontario, and the northeastern United States, who were invited to the professional circuit to discover a new version of Michelin’s popular X-Ice Snow winter tire. Successfully launched a few years ago, the model is now evolving with the arrival of the new X-Ice Snow +, designed for passenger cars and scheduled to go on sale in the fall of 2026.

Journalists also had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of several vehicles fitted with these new tires under a variety of winter conditions. According to Michelin representatives, the Snow + version promises improved grip on most test surfaces — a promise that appeared to be fulfilled during the driving sessions.
