Subaru Launches a New Vehicle

subaru-launches-a-new-vehicle

The collaboration between Subaru and Toyota continues to bear fruits. Proof of this is Subaru's recent unveiling of an all-new electric vehicle reportedly based on the Toyota C-HR platform. This new compact Subaru will be called Uncharted and this mini-SUV is expected to arrive on our market by 2026.

Ironically, it will not be an all-wheel-drive vehicle as standard, unlike most Subarus (except the sporty BRX), but rather a front-wheel-drive model. The Premium FWD trim should offer 221 horsepower with a range of 480 kilometers. However, the Sport and GT versions will feature all-wheel drive, increasing the power output to 338 horsepower and slightly reducing the range to 467 kilometers.

All these models will be built on the e-TNGA platform shared with the Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ, but with a shortened wheelbase. The battery capacity will be 74.7 kWh, and thanks to the NACS connector (Tesla-style), the automaker estimates that charging from 10% to 80% should take around 30 minutes.
