Quebecers are, for the most part, car enthusiasts. It is therefore no surprise to see the impressive number of automotive events held every summer across the province. While we regularly hear about some of these events, including smaller free car shows, we do not hear as much about the little “shows” held in more rural areas. Over the course of my career, I have had the chance to attend a few of them, as far away as Amos.
Last year, I received a personal invitation from an organizer in the Farnham area who wanted me to come see what he had put together: a car show featuring vehicles of all kinds in this small community south of Montreal. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it last year. But he came back to me at the beginning of the summer of 2026 and, this time, I put the date in my calendar. And I went!
I was not necessarily expecting to see spectacular cars. And yet, I was not disappointed! I have to say that there are some real hidden treasures right here at home. And Farnham organizer Pat Thibault certainly managed to uncover a few of them. Fortunately for him, the weather was also on his side. The small Roch-Bourbonnais Park he had chosen could even become too small if the event continues to enjoy the same level of success!
I was warmly welcomed and had the chance to speak with many enthusiasts, as well as several owners of remarkable vehicles. Among them, I could easily have picked a few favourites — although I did not dare make an official choice... even if the 1948 Rolls-Royce truly caught my eye!
Still, as the old saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” So I would rather share several of the photographs I took that day. Among them, you are sure to find a few machines that suit your taste!
By the way, in the interview accompanying this report, Pat Thibault also explains how he managed to attract a number of sponsors, several of them involved in the automotive world, which should certainly be of interest to many of our readers.
Finally, it is important to point out that this gathering was a non-profit event. Any profits generated by the show will be donated back to the community.
Thank you, Pat, and best of luck next year!
Here is a video overview of some of the vehicles that were on display during the event.

The weather was perfect for this type of car show.
Without officially declaring it my favourite, this 1948 Rolls-Royce certainly impressed me.
A typical colour for a 1956 Thunderbird.
It takes a talented and inventive mechanic to create this miniature version of a racing Ford Model T!
Surprisingly, there was only one of these modified race cars from the past, considering how close the event is to Autodrome Granby!
A truly rare example of this type of 1930s Essex!
Rather rare and certainly unusual, the 1974 GTO was based on a Pontiac Ventura — itself derived from the Chevrolet Nova — and powered by a 350 engine producing 200 horsepower!
An intriguing 1958 Jeep Willys CJ-3!
Rare and fun, this 1991 Nissan Figaro was not sold in North America at the time!
Few people would have been able to identify this 1930s Buick Marquette. Yes, the brand was sold in Canada!
Do you remember the small Ford Anglia 105E? This little 1961 British car was sold in Quebec. It was later made famous by the Harry Potter films!
A 1963 Dodge 880, a model that was not sold in Canada. Its body came from the full-size 1962 Chrysler!
You will certainly recognize the familiar silhouette of this “gigantic” 1959 Cadillac sedan!
This 1954 Buick still wore its original paint…
