Cadillac Unveils the Elevated Velocity Design Study

Cadillac, a division of General Motors, took advantage of Auto Week in Monterey, California, to unveil one of its design studies: the Elevated Velocity.

Departing from its traditional role as a luxury vehicle manufacturer, Cadillac asked its designers to create a two-door SUV featuring gullwing doors, intended for off-road use while still retaining a sporty on-road silhouette. It should be noted that this would be a fully electric vehicle. The Elevated Velocity has also been envisioned to accommodate four occupants.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle would be functional, but the effectiveness of its four-mode air suspension system remains to be demonstrated, particularly in its two extreme settings: Terra Mode, for off-road excursions, and e-Velocity Mode, for high-speed driving. Additional specifications will also need to be assessed.
