Although it has not yet been officially announced in North America, all signs point to the imminent arrival of Michelin’s latest winter-certified tire, the CrossClimate 3, on this side of the Atlantic. This tire represents more than just an evolution of the CrossClimate 2, as it is designed for a variety of vehicles, including electric models.

Among its new features are a revised thermal rubber compound that adapts more quickly and precisely to road temperatures, an optimized V-shaped tread pattern for improved water and snow evacuation even as the tire wears, enhanced braking performance with a 4% improvement on wet pavement compared to the CrossClimate 2, lower rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency and EV range, and reinforced durability with 15% more mileage thanks to its revised MaxTouch construction.
