With electric pickup trucks growing in popularity, several tire manufacturers are paying closer attention to this market. South Korean tire maker Hankook has just unveiled its new iON HT, specifically designed for these vehicles, with a focus on weight, high torque, and traction needs.
The iON HT stands out with its “XL” load capacity, reinforced sidewalls for increased rigidity, and a new construction built to handle the high torque and heavy loads of electric pickups — all while reducing rolling resistance.
This new tire will be available in August, in sizes ranging from 18 to 22 inches, with T and H speed ratings and a warranty exceeding 125,000 kilometres.
