The Elletrica: Ferrari’s first electric car!

Did you think electric cars were a thing of the past? Think again! Would you ever have imagined that the legendary Italian automaker Ferrari would build an electric vehicle? That’s exactly what it promises with the Elletrica, a four-door car powered by four electric motors producing around 1,000 horsepower, and offering a range of more than 530 kilometres! According to President Benedetto Vigna, however, it won’t be a supercar.

For now, Ferrari has only unveiled the pre-production chassis, while the exterior and interior designs will be revealed next spring. The design was developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the company founded by Jony Ive, former chief designer at Apple. Expect a top speed of 310 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of just 2.5 seconds—impressive figures for a 2,300-kilogram vehicle!
