Amongst the challenges faced by global automaker Stellantis, several observers have identified the abandonment of the Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division and Dodge’s V8 performance vehicles as key factors.

Following the departure of controversial CEO Carlos Tavares, Stellantis asked former Ram executive Tim Kuniskis to come out of retirement and take back control of the truck division. Kuniskis will now also be responsible for reviving the SRT division, as well as overseeing North American marketing and sales strategies for American vehicles. He will report directly to the new CEO, Antonio Filosa, who is strongly relying on the American market to reinvigorate the company. Ram has already announced its return to NASCAR competition in the truck category.
