Range Rover will soon add a fifth model to its lineup, the Range Rover GT, a new grand tourer that will initially be offered with a fully electric powertrain.
The British automaker has already released images of heavily camouflaged prototypes. Even so, they reveal a particularly sleek silhouette, with coupe-like proportions and a roofline lower than that of any other model in the range, including the Evoque.
Range Rover remains discreet about the vehicle's technical specifications and has not yet revealed details of its powertrain. The prototypes are currently undergoing final testing around the world, with more information expected later this year.
The Range Rover GT will be the first fully electric model from the brand to use the new EMA platform. It will be built in Halewood, United Kingdom, alongside internal combustion and hybrid vehicles.
Although it will initially launch as a battery-electric vehicle, the platform will also allow for the possible introduction of a hybrid variant later in the model's life cycle.
