Ram promises a midsize pickup

ram-promises-a-midsize-pickup

Following recent announcements by various governments — including the United States — regarding the elimination of subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles, several automakers have decided to adjust their strategies. This is the case for Stellantis’ Ram division, which has just announced the postponement of the launch of its fully electric pickup (originally expected to be named the Ramcharger).

At the same time, recognizing the growing demand for smaller pickups, Ram also announced plans to unveil a midsize pickup aimed at competing with the likes of the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, and Chevrolet Colorado. No name has yet been disclosed, but the company specified that the vehicle will be built on a traditional frame rather than a unibody platform.

It is worth noting that Stellantis already produces a vehicle of this type in Mexico: the Rampage, a name once used for a compact Dodge pickup. However, there is no indication that this name will be reused for the upcoming midsize truck.
