According to the news agency Reuters, the Trump administration and the European Union have reached an agreement regarding tariffs on European vehicles entering the United States. The new deal sets tariffs at 15% for both autos and parts (with certain exceptions for generic pharmaceuticals, aircraft, and aircraft components). This replaces the previously announced 25% tariffs.
Other topics were also discussed, including rare metals as well as electronic and mechanical components. However, it is important to note that the U.S. Court of Appeals has stated that President Trump has no authority to impose tariffs on multiple nations without prior approval.
