The mechanical world is evolving at a rapid pace. This time, the legendary companies ZF Friedrichshafen and Brembo announced that they are the first suppliers of wire-braking systems, a technology that could soon render the old hydraulic configuration obsolete.

Thanks to more precise electronic components, wire-braking can incorporate artificial intelligence and algorithms to enhance safety, reduce stopping distances, and ensure better vehicle stability during emergency braking.

Brembo plans to begin production of its system as early as next year. However, the manufacturer, whose clientele includes motorcycle makers, exotic supercar brands, and racing car constructors, has not revealed the identity of its first customer in the segment where the system will be implemented.
