Despite the recent decline of interest in electric vehicles, Japanese automaker Nissan still believes in this technology. This time, it unveils an all-new version of its legendary Leaf, one of the first fully electric cars ever offered on our market.

The new 2026 Leaf, arriving this fall, will no longer be a hatchback but rather a small SUV (utility crossover). It will even be able to carry 55.5 cubic feet of cargo. In addition to its new design, the 2026 Leaf will be built on an all-new platform similar to the one of the Ariya, which will eventually underpin other models. Nissan claims this vehicle will offer a range of 487 kilometres. More details on specifications and pricing will be revealed at its launch.
