Not long ago, Japanese automaker Nissan announced its intention to create a new performance-oriented vehicle division under the Nismo name, aimed at Infiniti models. As part of this initiative, the manufacturer developed a prototype—the Infiniti QX80 Track Spec—whose output was reportedly increased by more than 50% compared to the 450 horsepower of the standard production version.

On December 15, Nissan Motor Co. officially confirmed it would move forward with the project, this time not with five vehicles as initially expected, but with a lineup that could include up to ten models. Among them would be a sports car inspired directly by a competition version. The automaker also confirmed the development of “prototype vehicles for racing activities,” which could eventually be adapted into production models.
