Despite the recent decline in popularity of electric vehicles, South Korean automaker Kia has decided to introduce a fully electric compact sedan to the Canadian market at one of the most accessible price points in its segment: the EV4. From the outset, it should be noted that the vehicle will be priced at $41,145, including $2,150 in freight charges.
The EV4’s base price stands at $38,995. By comparison, one of its most reasonably priced competitors, the Fiat 500e, starts at $39,995, before freight charges are added. The EV4 is available with two battery configurations, offering a driving range of 391 kilometres for the base version and up to 552 kilometres for the optional version.
It is also worth noting that this Kia vehicle comes from the factory equipped with a NACS (North American Charging Standard) charging port. Models sold in Canada will be imported directly from South Korea. Kia also plans to introduce its electric EV5 utility vehicle later in 2026.
