As Stellantis seeks to improve its sales, its leadership is also working to enhance the quality of its vehicles in order to better attract customers.
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has launched what he describes as a “global offensive” aimed at improving the quality of the automaker’s products, as the company prepares to introduce several new models.
To support this initiative, Stellantis has hired more than 2,000 engineers over the past few months in order to significantly reorganize certain aspects of its operations.
Filosa is nevertheless aware that the arrival of new models could complicate the situation. Already, the Chrysler division has decided to withdraw its plug-in hybrid models from the market, while specifying that the automaker plans to launch new hybrid versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Recon.
However, any new vehicle launch comes with its share of challenges — a lesson Dodge learned during the launch of the new electric Charger last year.
