Nissan Pathfinder, Murano and Frontier may be pulled from the Canadian market

It appears that the Nissan Pathfinder, Murano, and Frontier—manufactured in the U.S. for the Canadian market—may soon no longer be available in Canada due to tariffs imposed by the U.S. administration.

Fortunately, Nissan Canada had the foresight to stockpile enough of these vehicles in the country, reportedly creating a 90-day supply. Also affected is the Infiniti QX60, also built in the U.S., with a limited number of units expected to be imported into Canada. The model has seen moderate success locally, and a highly anticipated revised version for 2026 should be available soon.

Ironically, Nissan does not operate any assembly plants in Canada. However, according to spokesperson Christian Meunier, 80% of Nissan vehicles sold in Canada are sourced from countries other than the U.S. The best-selling Rogue is manufactured in Japan, while the Kicks and Sentra—both Canadian market successes—are produced in Mexico.
