Toyota Canada Wins 23rd J.D. Power Award for Manufacturing Quality

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) has received the J.D. Power 2025 Gold Award for manufacturing quality, recognizing the production excellence of its Lexus RX at the Cambridge South plant in Ontario. This marks TMMC’s 23rd J.D. Power award since 1991, making it the world’s most awarded automotive manufacturing facility.
Former TMMC president Frank Voss highlighted this achievement, stating: "This 23rd J.D. Power award is a strong testament to the skill, passion, and dedication of the entire TMMC team. Earning the distinction as the most awarded manufacturing plant globally is no small feat."
The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study evaluates vehicles purchased or leased between March 2024 and February 2025, with awards given to plants reporting the fewest defects per vehicle within 90 days of ownership. In 2025, TMMC's Cambridge South plant took first place for the Americas region, sharing this honor with Toyota's Kentucky plant. This award is the twelfth for TMMC’s South plant, reinforcing Toyota Canada’s reputation for world-class manufacturing quality.
