A Newcomer to the Expanding V1 – Pneus + Mécanique

A brand-new garage opened its doors in Saint-Eustache on March 3 under the 100% Quebec-owned banner V1 – Pneus + Mécanique. Located at 559 Arthur-Sauvé Boulevard, this brand-new service centre replaced a former repair shop specializing in transmissions. In less than a month, it was completely transformed into a modern and bright space, equipped with the latest technologies. We met with Steve Lemieux, operations director and shareholder of the project.

A Rapid and Ambitious Transformation

[Translation] “We bought out the old garage with my financial partners and everything moved very quickly,” explains Steve Lemieux. Thanks to rigorous planning, the modernization work was completed at an impressive speed. [Translation] “In less than 30 days, we were ready to welcome our first customers.

A Well-Honed Career Path

Steve Lemieux is no newcomer to the field. He began his career as a mechanic in 2000, later became a technical advisor and then director of operations at Napa, a position he held until very recently. His hands-on experience and industry knowledge played a key role in this new project.

Why V1 – Pneus + Mécanique?

[Translation] “The choice of the banner was obvious. V1 – Pneus + Mécanique is a young franchise created by Point S, which has an excellent reputation in Quebec. Its brand image, growing network, and ambitions convinced us,” says Steve. Indeed, the banner has experienced notable growth: from 45 franchisees in 2024 to 58 in 2025. Her goal: to continue expanding into Western Canada.

A Quality Product Offering

At Pneus Mécanique St-Eustache, customers will find all the major tire brands, from Continental to Michelin, including Pirelli, Bridgestone, and Nokian. [Translation] “We also offer brands with excellent value for the money, like Sailun,” Steve notes. As a V1 franchisee, the shop can offer particularly competitive prices, a significant advantage for customers.

Specialized Technical Service

Another major asset: the expertise of the technicians. Two seasoned professionals, specialized in European vehicles, were hired. [Translation] “Few garages in the area have the skills and the equipment to properly maintain that type of vehicle. That’s why several shops refer them to us,” explains Steve referring to clients owning that type of vehicle.

A Growing Market

The garage’s clientele includes both individuals and businesses. For Steve, developing fleet services is a strategic lever. [Translation] “It allows us to build a steady volume and secure part of our revenue in the long term.

A Suitable and Efficient Software

[translation] “Without hesitation, my partners and I chose GEM-CAR, as it is efficient and well suited to our needs. Its ease of use allows us to effectively manage all our operations: appointment scheduling, inventory management, invoicing, and even storing our clients’ tires,” explains Steve. (translated from French).

Connected to the community, Pneus Mécanique St-Eustache also established a partnership with the Saint-Eustache Hospital Foundation. During tire season, $2 per tire sold will be donated to the foundation, helping to improve healthcare services in the region.

A Forward-Thinking Vision

The establishment of Pneus Mécanique St-Eustache under the V1 – Pneus + Mécanique banner shows that it’s still possible, with a clear vision, rapid execution, and strong partners, to build a large-scale project in a short amount of time. Steve Lemieux and his team are banking on technical excellence, close customer relationships, and local engagement to ensure the sustainable growth of their business. This model, based on specialization, agility, and innovation, fit perfectly with current trends in Quebec entrepreneurship. A concrete example of a dynamic next generation determined to make its mark in a constantly evolving market.
