That is it — the battle for the best certified all-weather tire is officially on. This time, major Japanese manufacturer Bridgestone is entering the fray by replacing its former WeatherPeak with the brand-new UltraWeather, a premium tire designed for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, CUVs and light trucks.
It can be identified in part by its open shoulder grooves and tread pattern, which are designed to channel water away and help reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
Naturally, the UltraWeather's sidewalls display the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, confirming that it is certified for use in snow and on ice.
The tire also features Bridgestone's ENLITEN technology and will soon be available in 61 popular sizes, backed by a 100,000-kilometre warranty.
