Without appearing significantly different on the outside, the 2027 Corvette will feature numerous updates, primarily on the mechanical side.
At the heart of these changes is the new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine, which will undoubtedly draw the most attention. This powerplant — displacing 409 cubic inches — will become the standard engine for the Stingray, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport X models.
With a 13.0:1 compression ratio, this naturally aspirated engine will produce 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque.
The Z51 performance package will feature a 5.56:1 final drive ratio, while Chevrolet has selected the newly introduced Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires.
A series of aerodynamic enhancements has also been developed to optimize track performance, and customers will have the option of a center-exit rear exhaust system.
