PPG unveils its material protection systems

American manufacturer PPG has announced that it will showcase its advanced protection solutions for electric vehicle battery packs at the Battery Show North America, to be held at Detroit’s Huntington Place from October 6 to 9.

PPG’s system includes the POWERCRON electrodeposition coating to protect battery pack surfaces, the Coratherm solution and thermal adhesives to help regulate battery heat. Additional technologies such as Coraguard and CORACHAR are designed to strengthen safety by preventing thermal runaway, along with other innovations aimed at improving efficiency and quality while supporting recyclability.
