Despite numerous rumours and debates surrounding tariffs imposed by the U.S. government, General Motors Canada has confirmed that the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickups will be built at its Oshawa Assembly Plant in Ontario.

Moreover, this facility is the only GM plant capable of producing both Light Duty and Heavy Duty versions on the same assembly line. According to company executives, it can even manufacture the Silverado HD ZR2 Edition.
