Global automaker Stellantis is certainly riding a wave of momentum these days, as it continues to issue numerous announcements about upcoming products. Among them is the return of the Jeep Cherokee, the midsize SUV that was recently discontinued.
The new 2026 Cherokee will now be built on Stellantis’s largest STLA platform and will feature a hybrid powertrain combining a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. This setup will deliver 210 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Naturally, the Cherokee will come with all-wheel drive. Additional details will be revealed at its launch.
