Following its U.S. unveiling, General Motors Canada has shared more information about the all-electric 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, including Canadian pricing.
The Bolt LT will start at $43,470, making it the most affordable electric vehicle in the country. This amount includes the manufacturer’s suggested retail price ($39,999 CAD), destination charges, the $100 federal excise tax on air conditioning (a tax dating back to the mid-1970s), and dealer fees.
Similarly, the RS trim will start at $46,235 CAD (including destination and dealer fees). The vehicle’s estimated range is 410 kilometres, and it will feature a NACS (North American Charging Standard) connector. When plugged into a fast charger, the Bolt can charge from 10% to 80% in about 26 minutes — roughly 2.5 times faster than the previous model.
