The German automaker BMW has finally unveiled its new 2027 i3 compact sedan. It’s the second model to be built on the Neue Klasse platform, and it’s fully electric.
Despite its modernized design, the brand’s signature silhouette remains immediately recognizable. At the front, the iconic kidney grille has been integrated into a refreshed design.
Beneath this new bodywork, BMW promises a “major technological leap.” The first model to be introduced will be the i3 xDrive50, equipped with two electric motors — one at the front and one at the rear — producing 463 horsepower and 476 lb-ft of torque.
Its 800-volt architecture will allow for fast charging of up to 400 kW, with an estimated range of around 400 kilometers.
