If you follow the news closely, you know that yet another, yes, another!, ship carrying vehicles caught fire, this time in the Pacific, near Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. The ship, the Morning Midas of Zodiac Maritime, based in London, was carrying around 3 000 vehicles from Asia to Mexico.

No crew members were reportedly injured: They were all rescued. They tried, unsuccessfully, to extinguish the fire, which likely started at the rear of the vessel, where electric and hybrid vehicles were loaded, many of which reportedly came from BYD’s factories.
