John Scotti’s Ali Baba’s Cave

John Scotti’s Ali Baba’s Cave

If there is one name that resonates strongly in Montreal’s automotive scene, it’s John Scotti. This enthusiast has built a solid reputation thanks to his Lamborghini dealership, one of the largest in the world, not to mention his Lotus and Mitsubishi franchises and his luxury-vehicle and truck rental agencies. But at the heart of his passion lies his love for vintage and classic cars.

Right now, as he oversees construction of a brand-new building on Montreal’s West Island, John finds himself with a few extra vehicles. He therefore invited a small group of guests, including several industry experts, to tour one of his warehouses in the East End. The goal: to showcase his precious collection… which is entirely for sale.

For the moment, the Scotti collection remains hidden from public view. But that will change: It will eventually be open to visitors once it’s relocated to its new quarters. In the meantime, here’s a taste in this photographic report. The vehicles are stored in a temporary facility, carefully protected from the elements by John Scotti’s team.

We’ll return with a complete tour of John Scotti Classic Cars once the new premises are up and running. But until then, who knows? You just might discover the car of your dreams.
