The new American electric car manufacturer Rivian just announced the creation of a new micromobility unit called "Also." This division will focus on lighter, smaller electric vehicles aimed at addressing global mobility challenges. The first vehicles mentioned are electric bicycles.

The company already secured an initial investment of US$105 million. However, Rivian will remain only a minority shareholder. The company’s plans include developing micromobility units in connection with its passenger vehicle division, including the possibility of using its rental offices.

Finally, Rivian declined to provide further information on the subject, simply stating that the company will release more details about Also and its products in the near future.
