Ram strengthens its position in the Canadian full-size truck and van market by extending its 10-year / 160,000 km limited powertrain warranty for the entire 2026 model year. This class-leading coverage applies to Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Chassis Cab models and ProMaster vans, excluding battery-electric vehicles and fleet purchases.
According to Ram, the decision reflects changing buyer behavior, as “nearly 80% of new truck loans now exceed five years,” surpassing traditional warranty periods. The coverage includes major drivetrain components such as the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials and axles, for the original owner.
This move reinforces Ram’s long-term quality positioning while providing a compelling ownership argument in a competitive market where durability, total cost of ownership and resale value are increasingly critical for both retail and commercial customers.
