No new F-150 in sight

According to publications from the Crain group, American automaker Ford is reportedly delaying the launch of the 15th generation of its popular F-150 pickup truck (code name P736) by at least one year, pushing it to mid-2028. This means that the current P702 version will remain in production until 2027. Ford did not provide any explanation for this decision.
The current generation of the F-150 was unveiled in 2021. However, this decision could be linked to the new timeline Ford has set for introducing the replacement for the Lightning (the electric version of the F-150), which will be assembled at the new Blue Oval City plant in Tennessee, still under construction. Initially planned for 2025 and later postponed to 2026, this new model is now expected to arrive only in 2027.
