Unitronic’s Porsche finishes seventh

The Porsche 718 Cayman RS Clubsport from Laval-based company Unitronic finished in seventh place in the four-hour endurance race of the Michelin Pilot Challenge, held ahead of the 24 Hours of Daytona classic.

This was the first experience with a rear-wheel-drive car in the GS division for the JDC Miller team, whose drivers Mickey Taylor and Chris Miller were previously accustomed to a front-wheel-drive Audi, which was less powerful. With that car, they won the championship for cars with engines under two liters last year.

Specializing in the manufacturing of high-performance electronic parts for Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche, Unitronic will see its Porsche return to the track later this season, as the JDC Miller team competes in the second round of the Michelin Pilot Challenge in Sebring, Florida.
