As expected, it was at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show that Korean automaker Kia, closely related to Hyundai, unveiled the 2027 version of its large Telluride SUV. But there was a surprise: in addition to a completely redesigned front grille — now covering the entire front end — the showcased powertrain was a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 329 horsepower. As a result, this SUV now carries the name Telluride Hybrid. Notably, no V6 engine will be offered.
Naturally, the Kia Telluride is expected to share most of its components with the new Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. Incidentally, the Palisade’s interior, for its part, is carried over unchanged. One last surprise… there will be no 2026 model year for the Telluride, as Kia has chosen to introduce its updated version directly as a 2027 model.
