Jeep launches the electric Recon SUV

Although the name has been known to European consumers for over three years, global automaker Stellantis will soon launch its new fully electric Jeep Recon in North America.

In reality, this is not the European version but an entirely new off-road-focused Jeep, built on the same platform as the electric Wagoneer S and Charger. Stellantis is announcing 650 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated range of about 400 kilometres. Performance is also expected to impress, with a 0–100 km/h time of under four seconds.

The Recon — the only EV with fully removable four doors — will be built in Mexico.
