Honda Unveils Two Important Concepts

Japanese automaker Honda took advantage of its annual business conference to unveil two design studies that are expected to serve as previews of the upcoming Accord Hybrid and Acura RDX, both due within the next two years. Honda also announced plans to launch some 15 new models globally by 2029.

Several of these new vehicles are expected to use a new hybrid system that would improve fuel economy by more than 10 percent while reducing costs by more than 30 percent.

Without providing further details, company executives also announced the development of a new electric all-wheel-drive system.

We also learned that all of Honda's North American plants will now be equipped to build hybrid vehicles as needed.
