GM unveils Hummer HEV Peak design study

The GM Design team recently shared on its Instagram pages images of a fascinating design study called the GMC Hummer HEV Peak. Inspired by the current GMC Hummer EV, the HEV Peak concept stands out with the possibility of offering different wheelbases to balance the vehicle’s capabilities with its interior space.

The design study is the work of Mr. Sun Hao, an intern at GM China. Furthermore, the GM China Advanced Design Center produced a scale model of the concept. While the front end resembles that of the production Hummer, the body features two long doors and a sloping rear, inspired by military versions. Naturally, the oversized wheel arches, tires, and wheels reinforce its rugged stance.

The idea of an off-road vehicle with a variable wheelbase is, therefore, an intriguing concept worth exploring.
