Despite numerous announcements, Ferrari, the legendary Italian maker of ultra-high-end cars, has surprised the automotive world by unveiling its very first fully electric vehicle, the 2027 Luce.
Naturally, the Luce, whose design was entrusted to renowned creators Jony Ive and Marc Newson of LoveFrom, is a four-door, five-passenger car powered by four electric motors with a combined output of 1,035 horsepower, including 282 horsepower from the two front motors and 831 horsepower from the rear pair.
Ferrari claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.
The car is expected to go on sale later, first in Europe, at a price of 550,000 euros. Its arrival in North America is scheduled for the second half of 2027.
