A Vehicle from Stellantis and Leapmotor

Global giant Stellantis recently partnered with Chinese automaker Leapmotor, creating a new company, Leapmotor International, in which Stellantis holds a 51% stake, while also acquiring 21% of Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co.

Their first project will be to build a midsize electric vehicle for the European Vauxhall and Opel brands.

So far, Stellantis has mainly helped drive Leapmotor vehicle sales through its European dealership network, which has made Leapmotor's small T03 city EV the best-selling model in its segment.

Leapmotor is not yet present in North America, but the brand is already sold through 850 points of sale in Europe, South America, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa and, more recently, Mexico.

As for the new SUV being planned, it should help Vauxhall and Opel stand out in this segment. It will certainly be an interesting story to follow.
