New York State Police has recently announced the addition of some 19 new Mustang GT patrol cars to its fleet, including a prototype model that was used for evaluation and training.
These vehicles are expected to be deployed primarily in the Albany capital region. They will be equipped with light bars, communication tools, and various safety accessories.
According to official information, these cars will cost about 30% less than the SUVs currently in service.
It should be noted that Mustang Interceptors are already in use in the southern United States, where their presence helps deter aggressive and reckless drivers, a result that is also expected in New York State.
