The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) has released its latest report titled "Electric Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perspectives of Canadian Consumers," part of an ongoing series examining consumer behaviors.

This comprehensive report dives into Canadian electric vehicle (EV) owners' attitudes and awareness, evaluating their knowledge of federal electrification programs, their understanding of EV-specific maintenance and repairs, and their preferences when choosing automotive service providers, comparing independent garages to dealerships.

According to AIA Canada, findings from this report are critical for stakeholders within the automotive industry, as they will help the sector better understand how consumer awareness and comprehension regarding electric vehicles influence their behavior toward maintenance services, repairs, and potential legislative changes in this rapidly growing market segment.

The report is free for AIA Canada members, while non-members can obtain it at a cost of $199 CAD.

"This report will help stakeholders better grasp how the evolution of consumer knowledge could influence the entire automotive sector," said AIA Canada in its release.
