If you follow American auto racing, the name Lucas will certainly sound familiar. It refers to Lucas Oil, a brand that markets a wide range of products not only for motorsport but also for performance enthusiasts.
Forrest Lucas, the founder of the company (which sponsors numerous racing events across America), passed away last week at the age of 83. He was very active in drag racing, notably sponsoring National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) series. He had a significant influence in the Indianapolis area, his hometown.
